homecoming hairstyles with headbands
hi, everyone. my name is tina and for today's hair tutorial, i'm going to show you how to do a korean bun inspired, upside down french rope braided bun. which can be done, with or without a sock or a donut/doughnut. flip your head upside down and take a small section of hair in the back and split that in half. start twisting them separately counter-clockwise and then combine them together to twist - clockwise. starting from the left side, take some hair from the scalp
and combine it with the left strand and twist both of them counter-clockwise. gather some hair from the right side, combine it with the right strand, and twist both of them, counter-clockwise, before combining both strands and twisting it once in clockwise. left to left strand = counter-clockwise right to right strand = counter-clockwise combine both = clockwise left to left = counter-clockwise right to right = counter-clockwise
so you continue on with this method until you get to the top of the head and you just tie it up with an elastic band. afterwards, start teasing. you can use a sock or a donut here, if you don't want to use the chignon method, but that's totally up to you. but i'm going to show you how to do it without one, because a lot of people don't like to use it. after making your hair quite voluminous and full because of the teasing.. you're going to just roll the hair around your hand and then pin it against your head
like a chignon bun. and then for the front and the side, i'm going to show you how to do a princess lace rope braid. the only difference between this and the french rope braid is that you're only gathering hair from 1 side. so take a small section of hair at your part, and then split your hair in half, and start twisting both strands separately towards the face. combine both away from the face.
take some hair from the scalp, and combine it to the left strand and twist it towards the face. combine both strands away from the face once. grab some hair from the scalp again and combine it to the left strand and twist it towards the face. combine both strands and twist it away from the face, once. and the smaller you can do it, prettier it's going to come out. notice how i'm holding my hands towards my face here, when you get to the - eyebrow - level, you're going to switch arm position.
after you've rope braided it, all the way down to the ends, roll the braid around the back of your bun, around towards the front and then stick it inside before pinning the bun itself. it might've looked complicating, but this hairstyle is really quite simple. it took me 10 min to do. the key is to know how to rope braid. if you know how to rope braid, this is going to take you about 5~10 min to do tops.
