homecoming hairstyles for medium hair
hello everyone! i always get requests for quick and easy hairstyles, so here are 5 more that you can try. this tutorial has all sorts of hairstyles with the hair down to the hair up so you can choose whatever fits your mood. these cute hairstyles are perfect when you’re in a rush for work or school. this first hairstyle is half-braided pigtailsand it’s pretty adorable. start by dividing your hair in half and braid one side of it to your shoulder. secure this off and pull on the side of your braid to make it more intricate. you can also pull the top of your hair up to volumize it. braid the other side and you’re done! you can accessorize by tying on some ribbons.
i like this hairstyle because it’s more relaxed than the typical tight braided pigtails. plus, it’s suitable for medium hair. this second look is a pretty twisted halfup half down hairstyle. you’ll begin by grabbing two small sections of hair at the crown of your head and twisting them back. join them in the middle with a thin elastic. repeat these steps a few more times, and you can do as many twists as you’d like. i’m going with three here, and i’m arranging them closer to each other. this is a nice romantic hairstyle that you can wear on a date, and you can dress it up with a flower clip. this one is also good for medium hair.
moving on to the third hairstyle – it hastwists at the crown that falls into a side braid. we’re going to be making a waterfall twist, so grab a small section at the top of one side and split it into two. twist them around each other once, and then drop the bottom section. pick up some hair next to the section you just dropped and twist that with the top section. continue these steps until you’re halfway around your head and temporarily pin it down. repeat this process to the other side and when your hair meets in the middle, you can tie off your waterfall twist. at this point, you should have a hole in the middle, so just flip your little ponytail inside it to get the final twisted effect. this hairstyle is super pretty by itself, so you can stop here if you like. if you want to move on, then just gather your hair to one side and braid it.
i’m going with a fishtail braid and loosening it up to make it thicker. i love how this hairstyles look cute from all angles. this next one is for those of you who liketo wear your hair up. it’s a cute ponytail with some side braids. begin by sectioning your hair off following down your ears and tie your hair into a high ponytail. start french braiding your side sections and if your hair is thin, you can flatten your braids to make them appear thicker. when your braids are done, you can wrap them around your ponytail to cover the hair tie and make them meet in the middle bottom. from here, join them with a small section from your ponytail and tie everything together. you can then remove the previous thin elastics from the braids earlier.
this is an easy method that will hide yourhair tie without the use of bobby pins. this is a nice hairstyle when you want more than a basic ponytail. the last hairstyle is a high bun, and this is for all of the updo lovers out there. you're going to need this bendy hair bun tool that i got on ebay for just $1. i’ll provide a link in the description box for you. you’re going to start by tying your hair into a high ponytail. if your hair is long and layered, you’re going to only pull your hair halfway through. now grab your bun tool and put yourhair between it. you’re going to roll it down your hair, going towards the back.
this is way better than rolling your hair to the front because when you go to complete the circle with your hair tool, your bun will sit at the top of your head. this will help to fight gravity and make sure your hair bun doesn’t droop easily throughout the day. after you’ve pinned and fixed your bun to your liking, you can do a little shake test and you’re done! this lazy bun will look super cute with a big bow in the back. so those are the 5 different hairstyles that you can try out for everyday occasions. you can have your hair up, down, or the side, depending on how you feel. have fun with these quick and easy hairstyles, and let me know what other tutorials you’d like to see next. be sure to subscribe to my channel and connect with me on my social media.
